McHenry County's First Self-Service Pet Wash to Support Local Animal Shelter

Marengo, IL – July 12, 2010    Imagine your dog getting cleaned without messing up your house or basement!  Now open in Marengo on the corner of Rt. 176 and Rt. 23 (523 N. State St.)  is the county’s first Self-Service Pet Wash.  For the month of August, 10% of proceeds (minimum $200) will be donated to the Helping Paws Shelter in Woodstock, IL.

The wash bay is a glass enclosure with a table for the dog to sit or lay on.  There are separate bays for small and large pets.  A sliding glass door opens for ventilation, and a safety gate keeps pets and kids safely inside.  Accepts $5, $1 and quarters similar to a car wash.  Options include tearless shampoo, conditioner, flea & tick rinse, and clean water rinse, blow dry and vacuum.  Open 24 hours!

Helping Paws is funded solely through donations.  Please help us save the stray dogs and cats that come to us for help. A gift of any amount will help in the lives of these wonderful animals.
